On February 2, 2026, more than 200 women bundled up in tutus and braved a 12-degree winter evening to attend the second annual “Wear A Tutu” fundraiser at Double Bogey’s. The event, founded by Sharon, brings together the community each year annually to support a local cause.
The concept started several years ago as a fun outing. A group of women decided to put on tutus on February 2 (two-two) and visited local restaurants. Over time, Sharon saw an opportunity to turn the lighthearted tradition into something more impactful. What began as a playful gathering has evolved into a meaningful fundraiser that brings the community together for a good cause.

The 2026 event raised more than $11,500 through ticket sales, sponsorships, and community partnerships, with proceeds benefiting Moab House, a Boardman-based nonprofit that supports young adults who have aged out of the foster care system.
Moab House serves individuals ages 18 to 21, providing essential support such as transportation, food, toiletries, and other everyday needs as they transition into independent living.
“We had an amazing help this year, we were able to get from the community,” Sharon shared. “We have 55 baskets, we have over $8,000 in items donated to us from our community.”

The evening also featured live entertainment from Cleveland Keys Dueling Pianos, who generously donated their performance to support the cause.
“We’re very grateful,” said Moab House Executive Director Marcie Consiglio. “From everything that we do, we provide transportation, we cover all of their food expenses, their toiletries. Everything that they could possibly need, we cover it for them, so every dollar helps us to be able to do more for them.”
Consiglio also noted that the organization hopes to expand its services to additional locations in the future, allowing them to support even more young adults as they transition into independence.
The Wear A Tutu event takes place each year on February 2, continuing the playful tradition that inspired it while making a real impact in the community.
