As a realtor there is no one else I'd recommend to clients!! Everyone went above and beyond to keep me informed!! The team at Great Plains Bank made being a first time home buyer stress free and fun! I was very nervous about the whole process going into it but once we got to talk to Chris at Great Plains and the rest of the team the process was so smooth and they kept us updated constantly. Communication was always consistent and all of our questions were answered extremely quick! I could not recommend Great Plains more to anyone especially a first time home buyer!

Where to begin…. My wife and I had been renting for going on 4 years, and recently moved to Enid, Oklahoma. Upon confirmation that we would not be getting relocated for work any time soon we decided to go ahead and buy a house. Found a realtor that was recommended to us and toured a couple of houses before finding the one we wanted. Being new to home ownership and first time home buyers not know the process literally at all, I can truly say Chris Barnes and his team made it an extremely peaceful process. They explained everything in detail, NEVER missed a timeline on any part of the process, explained deadlines to us, explained the reasoning behind what documents, etc, they were asking us for, were kind, sympathetic if we had issues going on showing us down, and just downright HELPFUL in the text book definition of the word. We were nervous at first but as soon as we jumped into the process, they quickly calmed us and we knew we had made the right choice. If you’re unsure of purchasing ability and what a final mortgage amount will be, they can assist in helping you figure what a house is going to cost based on credit, others debts you have, etc. one particular story I feel like sums up just how great they were is one of the members being on a hunting trip toward the beginning of the process, was a Saturday and we were going to visit parents and talk about affordability of house prices for us, and he literally left hunting, went back to his hotel room, and made an interactive document so we could use the slider to see house price, closing cost, escrow and insurance, etc all broken down by sliding the bar more or less, and recorded himself explaining the whole sheet. WHILE ON A HUNTING TRIP with his buddies. I’m not saying he’ll do that exact thing again, but you get the picture of how far they were willing to go out of their way to help. They also have sort of a pass along process where you will have one person you talk to until you get done with that phase of the process, and then you will switch to a different person of contact for the next phase. This made it extremely easy because you only had to deal with one person at a time, instead of keeping conversations and action items that are due, separate from 10 different people at the same time. I really can’t thank them enough and I will recommend them as many times over as I can. If you’re looking to purchase a home, experienced, or first time home buyer, don’t be nervous and choose Great Plains Bank, and the Chris Barnes team.
